Well what ive heard was that high school musical 2 is being filmed this fall and will come out late summer 2007. All of your same favorite actors are in the second movie. Now i know some people think that Zac Efron (Troy) is dating Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay) in real life but from what ive heard and read...they are just friends and nothing is going on between them. But maybe in the future they will. Who knows? Most of the High School Musical cast showed up at the teen choice awards 2006...High School Musical won for Choice TV Show: Comedy/Musical and for the 58th Annual Creative Arts event they won Outstanding Children's Program for "High School Musical"..Congratulation to all Hsm Cast!

Zac Efron is most likely known for his appearance in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical and Summerland. He will also be starring in the film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray.

In 2002, Efron began to have guest roles on television series, including Firefly, ER, and The Guardian.
Efron is best known for portraying Cameron Bale on the now-cancelled WB series Summerland. Originally introduced as a guest star, Efron became a regular cast member on the show in the second season in 2004. Since appearing in Summerland, he has also had guest roles on the shows CSI: Miami, NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
In 2003, Zac starred in the Lifetime original TV movie Miracle Run. He played Steven Morgan, one of two autistic twins. Overcoming incredible odds, with his mother's support, he achieved the unimaginable, winning a cross country competition. For his performance, he was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special - Supporting Young Actor.[5]

In 2006, At age 18, Efron starred in the Disney Channel original movie High School Musical as Troy Bolton alongside actresses Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale and actors Lucas Grabeel and Corbin Bleu. This role helped Efron gain recognition among teenage audiences as both an actor and a successful singer. Combined with his simultaneous appearances on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and NCIS, Efron placed as high as #4 on the IMDBPro's STARMeter for the week of January 29, 2006.[6] Efron's singing talents were disputed when it was revealed that Andrew Seeley's voice was blended with Efron's voice on the soundtrack of High School Musical.[7] (It was later learned that this occured since Efron is a baritone singer and occured usually for the higher notes-the part of Troy was written for a tenor singer)
Efron became the first artist to debut with two charted songs in the same week on the February 4, 2006 Billboard Hot 100[citation needed], with the songs, Get'cha Head In the Game (feat. Basketball team) and Breaking Free, a duet with Vanessa Anne Hudgens from High School Musical. On the following week, Efron had five simultaneous song credits, all from High School Musical, including, once more, Get'cha Head in the Game, Breaking Free (which made the fastest climb in the history of the Billboard charts, from #86 to #4 between the two weeks)[citation needed], Start of Something New and What I've Been Looking For: Reprise, as well as We're all in this Together, which was credited to the High School Musical cast. Zac is also in the first ever Disney Channel Games as captain of the Red Team. On his team are Kay Panabaker, Anneliese van der Pol, Moises Arias, Dylan Sprouse, and Shin Koyamada.
In June of 2006, Efron was cast as Link Larkin in the upcoming film version of Hairspray, also starring Amanda Bynes, Queen Latifah and John Travolta. Efron will perform all of his own vocals in the film. [2] Filming will take place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada from September 5 to December 8, 2006. Zac has cut and dyed his hair dark brown and will be gaining about 15lbs for the role in Hairspray.[8]
Efron has been accepted to both UCLA and USC. He will be attending USC in the Fall of 2007.

High School Musical 2 First Song Released Today!

Radio Disney released HSM2's first song from the movie today, "What Time is It?". The song premiered at 8am during the Planet Premiere section of the show. All of the main stars were featured in the song including Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman.




The CD single for the song will be available July 17th in stores! WOW!

While on winter vacation at karaoke night at the ski lodge, Troy and Gabriella meet and become infatuated with each other (Winter lovin’, happend so fast…) Things go back to normal as holidays wrap up and Troy goes back to New Mexico to resume his school life at East High. Suddenly a new girl is enrolled in East High and, Suprise! Gabriella is back in Troy’s normal basketball focused life. As the new year rolls on Troy finds his basketball time is now spread among, basketball, Gabriella and performing in the Spring Musical.

Of the three HSM releases, the original was the lowest budgeted production, featuring a lot of unknown faces and catchy songs. This unpolished story performed by newcomers, actually has a fun fresh feel to it that ,although both are very well done and kid favorites, the sequels just never really are able to capture. Zack Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are both excellent as Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez. They have decent voices and somewhat of a natural chemistry about them. The true show stealers were Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu in my opinion, as I felt they had the strongest vocal presence and created deeper characters.

The song selection for this movie is quite strong, ranging from the mellow I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You to the fast paced, basketball montage of Get Your Head In The Game. Whether you are a fan of the movie or just place your children’s happiness above your own, these songs will gently nudge into oblivion directions on how to set a broken leg or other relevant facts in order to make a permanant space in your brain for them to reside.

The video transfer for this Blu Ray is delivered in the ratio of 1.78:1 and in 1080p. I have seen the movie on the Disney Channel in the past and as one would expect from a low budget made for television production, there was a lot of grain and not a lot of sharpness or depth of color. Comparing the original to this enhanced transfer, the first thing that stands out is the grain reduction. There are still some scenes that have grain apparent but no where near the original transfer. Also the movie has a sharper quality about it than the original. Overall the Blu Ray video is a huge improvement that makes it definately worth the investment.

The extras are mainly geared toward the young HSM fans. Kicking off is a 10 minute Making of Featurette that is pretty high level stuff. There is also an option to watch the movie in a sort of sing a long format, with the television displaying the lyrics at the bottom of the screen. Learning the Moves teaches your wanna be Wildcats how the cast rehearsed their musical sequences and also shows the final product in the movie. The Disney Channel Dance Alongs were originally featured on television, and gives viewers a chance to dance along to the music. Cast Reunion is just that, with the cast coming back and discussing the impact of High School Musical on their careers and life in general. The Hollywood premier gives an insiders look at the big opening evening. Finally a collection of music videos are provided for those who can’t get enough of the movie’s music.

Will not be in high school musical 4

It has been confirmed that Jemma McKenzie-Brown will not be one of the actresses in the fourth edition of High School Musical.

We feel sorry for her fans, but Jemma will not be back to play Tiana Gold. Like some other friends from High School Musical 3, for example Matt Prokop, Jemma wants to try other roles in acting which are not musicals.
